Any other thoughts? Not a lot to go on here

![]() For me, Love Steve's ( Laidlaw) Goalie Tourney stuff. I enjoyed quite a bit. " Why I love fantasy hockey" from Angus. Bringing the forum members into it a little bit was a nice touch. Brendan doin his " Dean's list" are always trememdous reads with impactful information.

Forgot to mention...
If I was in a salary cap league, I'd be paying real close attention to EricDaoust's articles. Very good content that would absolutely help anyone in a cap league.

Wish I could comment but I have to admit I haven't read a single article since the lockout started.

My personal top ten:
1) Angus - Avoiding Mistakes in Fantasy Hockey -A piece that should inspire you to look back and actually evaluate some of the decisions (or rather assumptions) you've made in the past that were either foolish, baseless, or bang on but simply didn't work out. Everyone needs to reflect. This piece is all about that. 2) Hoos - Overruled: To Veto or Not to Veto - Every poolie deals with this issue at some point no matter what your experience level and to be honest most people don't know the right answer. Essential reading. 3) Ma - Not With a Ten-Foot Pole (Parts 1 and 2) - It might be cheating to include a two-parter in here but Ma's NWATFP series is gold every year 4) Angus - A Review of the DobberHockey Experts League Draft - Maybe it was so much fun for me because I was active in both the draft and thus the article series but I had a hoot with this one and I hope the casual readers did too. I won't mention any names but not all of us show a lot of personality when you write but this piece really opened some of us up and gave us some life. 5) Imbeau - Trade Fever IX - Roots & Hidden Value / Management Decisions and Respect - From the November Top 100 Roto - The Trade Fever series is a must read for poolies 6) Daoust - Are Star Forwards Worth the Money -The single best question answered by Daoust in his series and that's saying something. 7) Laidlaw - Victor Hedman vs. Adam Larsson - Not the best piece I've written but certainly the best piece during this lockout 8) Miller - Playoffs? We're Talking About Playoffs? - My favourite Miller piece from the lockout and his stuff has been really good 9) Hoos - Implementing Rule Changes in Your Fantasy League - A topic we all deal with at some point 10) Amato - Beneficiaries of the Lockout - A must read given the context of this top ten

Thinking I should have provided links with the article titles but screw it they aren't that hard to find.

We both lost out here. I lost the traffic, you lost the info. Some of this stuff from the columnists taught me things. Changed my opinion in some areas. And since most of it isn't stale, it's worth a read

Ha - no problem, it was very well done nonetheless. Now if I could get 50 more people to do that, this project would be a snap!

IF/When the NHL season gets going, most people will be looking to tweak the existing team that they drafted. So whether something was a good article or not - may not be the most important thing. What is more important is revisiting an article with relevance to the upcoming season.
In other words, I'd key on articles that have information on players that may be sleepers for the coming season. Find some articles with information on guys like Schultz, edit the article and write "UPDATE: Since time of article, Schultz has __pts in __games and appears to be shoe-in for PP1". I think the position-specific articles will be the best ones to revisit (not because they are necessarily the best-written, though many are, but because they are most relevant to usefulness). Start with goalies, then find something with emerging rookies who might get a job due to AHL time, then maybe some sleeper defensemen. Best wishes with the project. Also, send some love to the Top 100 Roto Guide series. Tons of good stuff there including occasional specialty articles that accompany the rankings.
