I realize that there are varying opinions on him here, but just the mere fact that KO is even given so much consideration at all when discussing the Isles is a mistake in my mind. Tavares is great. He could even accelerate his pro-rated 100-point pace. Moulson will get a pro-rated 30 goals a year albeit in a streaky fashion as his wing man for the foreseeable future. Grabner right now looks a lot more like he did in his rookie season than last season when he was apparently slowed by injury; should also get about a pro-rated 30 despite his finishing struggles. Visnovsky has been great so far; way better than anyone else on the blue line and perhaps the entire team outside of JT. Nielsen gets enough power play time that he could be compile enough points to have fantasy value. Streit is not quite the same player he was before his shoulder injury but is still good offensively. Boyes is doing enough with his opportunity to stay where he is (1st line, 1st PP). Nabokov won't put up good numbers because he will be overworked and the Isles are terrible in their own zone at even strength. Hamonic is an excellent defenseman in reality but has little fantasy relevance right now. Bailey, Ullstrom and Cizikas have some sleeper value. After those considering those 12 players, plus prospects like Strome, Niederreiter, Nelson and Sundstrom, then may be the time to even mention Kyle Okposo and only then to recommend forgetting about him as a fantasy hockey asset, no matter how high he was drafted or whatever reason the Isles' braintrust continues to inexplicably give him every opportunity when he has shown nothing so far this season. - Isle B.

It is about time somebody who writes for this site realized that Kyle Okposo is not a very good NHL hockey player. You guys have been inexplicably pumping his tires for years when anyone who watches the Isles regularly could tell you that he is barely a 3rd liner let alone the kind of player that should be highly touted on fantasy hockey websites. - Isle B.

But there's only one Stanley Cup, Penner just happens to have his name on it twice. :) - rangersfury

Pittsburgh could be a spot for Penner... they definitely have the cap space.

I traded Conacher right before his slump - I am a fan, but people need to be realistic with rookie scoring expectations.

DP - yeah, I dumped Hagelin after his slow start. Looking kinda silly for that now. I figured Richards was benched w/ his lack of ice time (especially compared to Stepan). Thanks for the updates. - angus

Enjoy the updates Jeff

Wanted to comment on the Rangers since I have seen every game this season as well as last one.

Hagelin is currently one of NY's top forwards but he has only recently caught fire. In fact through the first 7 games he was a -3 with ZERO points.

If I had to rank the top 4 forwards they would be
Nash
Gaborik
Richards
Hagelin

Richards was benched during the Islanders game because IMO he refused to shoot the puck on the powerplay. His play was especially atrocious during the Bruins game where he had a 37% faceoff rating.

NY's powerplay has been HORRIBLE so far this season to the point where some fans are suggesting we waive the option and go strictly 5 on 5 :) Torts is blaming Richards and methinks Richards is blaming himself as well. - donpaulo

Markov is a heart~breaker!! I've drafted him (at value) the last 3 years in a row!! This year I claimed him off the wire...I must love the abuse. What do you think on Conacher? I own Stammer in a keeper & grabbed Conacher as matchup play, then the whole points flourish happened. TB has been bad, but they are way too talented (even by todays NHL standards) to slump for long. Cory won the MVP last year, & he did it in the big kids league. I also nabbed Granlund this year, but he's a staple. With Cory, I can't decide if they'll keep him up. Yzerman is savvy, but also has an "it" factor in player evaluation. I think he's more hands-on than most people realize. Given the top-end in TB, does Cory finish the season with, say, 15-20 points in the remaning games? Or do they just let him list around the ice amelessly & get comfortable with the game? I just flipped Cory for Loui Eriksson in a public league, but the guy is grousing about it now (& the league didn't veto it). - Captain Krunch

Wonder if the Pens are looking at Penner. May be a very good fit. Maybe Penner could get his third championship ring. Playing with Malkin or Crosby sure could turn anyones fortunes around. - coldsquad2002
