So what exactly would be the modivation to change it. They were willing to stunt Niederreiter's growth last year so they could use his bonuses against the cap, but not actually pay the bonuses. This year, when the bonuses don't count, they send him to the minors. There is a reason players want to leave as soon as they become free agents and why free agents want to leave as soon as possible. This is a horrible organization and an embarrassment to the league.
