Hey guys, thanks for reading. Great questions

@holdUP: That's a tough one, but I likely would make that move if I were you. You will be giving up some As and PPAs but I personally think that Jordan will be a better contributor to all of the other categories over the rest of this season (Purcell may have a better + too). In a Roto league that counts both SHG and SHA a guy like Staal could be incredibly valuable - as 2 or 3 extra SHPs could potentially move you 4 or 5 spots up in that category, which will more than offset the damage done by the assists you might lose by moving Purcell. 4 out of 9 cats in your league are for special teams, so somebody like Jordan who plays on BOTH special teams is a great own. I think it is a pretty fair deal, but I would personally prefer J Staal.

@hockeymasters: A points only league is probably the format that Purcell is MOST valuable. I wouldn't move Teddy in a points only league for some of the names I previously mentioned (Backes, Brown etc). I would treat Purcell as a 75 point player and if you can get a better return than that, then I would move him. If not - then he is a solid keep for your team. If you could buy low on somebody like Kessel, then yes I would pull the trigger.

As for Ovi, I personally don't think you can move him right now. His value is at an all time low and I sincerely doubt that you will get fair return. You are likely best to ride it out with Ovi and hope he figures it out again. As you mentioned, maybe you can flip him after he heats up (but you probably end up wanting to hold on to if he does!). For now though, the only way I would move Ovi is if I am getting a return worthy of a top 5 player in the league. It isn't likely that somebody will give you that at this point. - T-Camp

Hi Terry,
I'm in a keeper league with eight other guys. It's essentially a points-only league, one point rewarded for goals and assists. Of the 30 players you protect 12. Purcell was one of the guys I protected. Anyways, with the points being the way it is, do you think I should still consider trading Purcell? I'm not sure if there is a point. I think it may be worth considering if his point totals will decline soon. Any thoughts on Ovechkin? I'm considering moving him. I'm thinking about waiting a little to see if he starts producing more then making the move before his value drops.

Purcell for J Staal?

Rotisserie, 16 teams - G, A, +/-, PIM, PPG, PPA, SHG, SHA, GWG.

If I can get jordan staal for purcell should I? I think I'm probably even dumb for asking, since Staal will contribute SHP for me... - holdUP
