Anaheim's Success = Boudreau

Don't underestimate the impact that Bruce Boudreau has on the Ducks' this season. When allowed to implement an offensive approach he is the best coach in the NHL. - hannuemen

I feel better now!
This makes sense. But I still have this sick feeling Ekman will have more pts than Yandle this year. - ddp

Dakkster sums it up well. OEL will have nights like last night, but his value is more in his ability to eat up tough minutes and make great outlet passes. - angus

ddp: Huge difference between Norris trophies and fantasy value. OEL's Norris potential lies in his two-way play. Yandle is more one-way offense. - Dakkster

Angus, if Ekman is THAT good and possibly in the running for the norris...can't we have him higher than Yandle at #2 in D rankings since Yandle would never be a norris winner? sorry, frustrated Yandle drafter this year way ahead of Ekman. - ddp

Subban

According to RDS, Don Meehan (Subban'as agent) recommanded P.K. to sign the short-term offer. It would be Subban's decision to wait for the long-term... - bmartel

Not sure why you think MTL won't get value in a trade...there are 30 teams that want him, and only one he can't seem to get a deal with at this point. I understand MTL not wanting to back up the Brinks truck yet, and there are most assuredly other teams that share that view, but with Pacioretty up front, and Price in goal, Subban is the franchise D man, and I think there will be a lot of teams interested in making a move for him, and then paying him $5M/per for 5 years.

Philly, and Detroit will no doubt be at the top of the list of trade suitors, although you would think Philly will have to pay a premium for being an Eastern conference team... - Puckhead

In a salary cap world, you can't vastly overpay for someone. Subban wants Eberle/Seguin type money, and he's just not worth that. Montreal is better off trading him and letting someone else overpay if he doesn't get realistic with his salary demands. - mabus

the Wings could use Subban. tons of cap space and their regulars are going down like crazy. nevermind the possible character questions. PK is a good NHL Dman and, frankly, his diversity may come into play in the D. - TJ4

[quote]That being said, what teams would have interest in Subban? Philadelphia is an obvious one.

29 teams would have interest in a 22year old #1D - yougo

The Bruins looked very strong at MSG coming back twice to tie the game. NY really came at them in the first 10 minutes and put 2 on the board, but since that time Boston more than held its own.
I think the Rangers will only get better as the team falls into JT's system but the Bruins really impressed me. They have great speed, good size, take the body and Rask made some incredible saves to give Boston a point on the road. - donpaulo
