James Neal

Heard on the radio that James Neal will be used on the point of the Pens power play.

I don't see that lasting very long.
Good thing - I don't like it. I see Neal scoring most of his goals from in close, not from way out or very far outside the dots.
Only way it sticks, is if it works. In which case, I guess it'll be alright. But the league I have him in only counts goals, assists, and pp goals. No pp assists. - Teh Doktor

Johansen

Johansen has been getting stronger as the camp progressed but he is nowhere near being the dominant center people were hoping for at this stage. He's doing well but just progressing slower is all. He has looked timid at times then gives flashes of the type of offense he is capable of...sniping on bang-bang plays and showing great vision. The real gem in camp has been Atkinson though. He has dominated and will man the top RW slot. - Tim Lucarelli

Fantasy Guide and Draft List update

Hi,

I bought the 2012-2013 Fantasy Guide and Draft List in Aug. 2012 and I don't see the new versions in the download section once logged in to the web site. Are those new versions free for those who bought the guides in Aug. 2012 or we must buy them again ? Thanks. - rebelanger

Great line-up updates.
One of the best rambling of the past 6 months, IMO.
Good luck this week! Great, great job! - Pengwin7

Does the coaching staff have no faith in Johansen? Reading that article it appears that he is being considered a "bubble player". After reading about his successful offseason training and progress in the AHL, it seems that I'm missing something here. Any insight Dobber? - NikW71

I should add that Borowiecki is supposed to get his chance to play with Gonchar in todays practices. I will post full line combos in the Ottawa thread when I see them today. - notch4077

Since these ramblings are lineup heavy, I thought I would post the Sens from their camp.

Silfverberg - Spezza - Michalek
Latendresse - Turris - Alfredsson
Hoffman - Regin - Neil
Greening - Smith - Condra
Noesen - O'Brien - Daugavins

Methot - Karlsson
Wiercioch - Gonchar
Phillips - Benoit
Boroweicki - Ceci

Anderson never leaves the crease as they are trying to get him caught up to Bishop and Lehner.

Coach Paul MacLean said that although Anderson is their #1, he may not be ready to play on opening day in Winnipeg. That was always a predictable outcome of not playing during the lockout like Bishop and Lehner. - notch4077

despres

Pittsburgh morning radio host asked why despres seems to be falling out of favpr with coaching staff, and it was said that the issue is conditioning. He's screwing up the defensive rotations because his shifts are so short. Not good. Having said that, they're also looking at pairing him up with Letang. - Teh Doktor

Would you rather own Conacher or Wolski this season? I read Conacher is playing with lecavalier & purcell. - Nifty Mittens
