Regarding Oilers Rock 99 comments "The owners/ players don't care what you do as long as you pay the money to be in the seats. If you really wanted to show them how displeased you are don't go to the games or don't go to the concessions in the game"
What I'd like to see is a lot of people go to the games watch 2 periods of hockey then leave all at once and not come back until concessions are made to the fans."

Regarding Yougo's post. Why would Kuznetzov not come across the pond?

-Wanted to play in the olymics which is up in the air with the NHL?
-Wanted to play which is not happening in the NHL?

Makes sense to me as to why he would sign a two year deal to stay. The only problem is that now is roots get a little deeper and it just gets harder and hard to get him to come over. The question is would he have come over if the NHL said yes we are going to the olymics and hey look here is a new agreement, back say 1 year ago.

One thing I don't get with all this bargining is that most of the items that the owners want is protection from themselves.
-They don't want salaries over more than 5 years - so don't sign them.
-They don't want wide variations in salarys between the years - so don't sign them.
-They don't want to pay players as much money as the players want. - Then don't sign them to stupid contracts.

I think instead of bringing in federal negotiators they should bring in some hockey guys like LeBrun, Mackenzie, whoever. Guys who know hockey, know the CBA but have nothing to gain. I will vote for Dobber and some of the forum people here as well. - Ritchierich

Attention all Fans: we need to be heard when this is all over I suggested at the opening puck drop of the each teams home opener we all rise and Boo for the first 5 min of the game. this would be loud and clear message that Collectively we are mad at both the players and owners. lets face it I love the game I just am really pissed at the people involved in it right now.

what do you think? bet we could with twitter and social media get some sort of thing out there?

The players and owner need to remember who's dollar they are fighting over...

send it out to all your friends

Forget the celebrations

Forget the celebrations,

What is Evgeni Kuznetsov waiting to come to the NHL?

He could be like James Neal with Crosby & Malkin.

OK, I am setting the bar high, but I strongly think that Kuznetsov needs to cross over to America ASAP. Him, Backstrom & Ovechkin are 3 players who possess game-breaking abilities and their offensive capabilities could be unstoppable.
