Sorry but I can always find comparables to him. So he will never be allowed on any of my teams. - coldsquad2002

Riberio

Maybe, but speaking from a fantasy perspective, he always produces decent points, with decent PPP, and decent SOG. So I'd still gladly have him on my fantasy team, don't know if I really like him as a player, but fantasy-wise I'd be happy to own him. Especially given that he's a cap as well... - Ryan Ma

I would never draft Riberio. Do not freaks who lay and roll around on the ice.

Hey Praba,

Care to discuss. I'm definitely open for discussion, which ones would you touch and why? - Ryan Ma

i'm assuming this article is geared towards one year leagues. several of these players have huge upside that i would easily touch with a 10 foot pole. - praba

I dunno the thing is the KHL is different too, different ice surfaces, different defensive schemes, talent might not be as good as the NHL. There's a variety of factors. I mean Karri Ramo posted a 1.96 and .925 SP in the KHL last year, and probably wouldn't crack an NHL lineup at the moment.

I dunno where you're getting your stat from but according to the KHL website, he's 2.76 and .897 at the moment... So not really all the impressive.

Varly has a 2.25 and .932, while Rinne is 2.56 and .912... So that kinda throws the stats down the drain really.

Once again I honestly don't have any facts or figures to back up my position, I just have a conspiratist's feeling on this one.

I mean if you look at the facts, Bryz had a subpar year last year, so it's not like they had to get rid of Bob because he was being wasted on the bench... I could maybe understand if they had another quality backup option already in place, but then they signed Michael Leighton who toiled in the AHL all season long...

Then they only got a 2nd and a 4th round pick... I mean Lindback fetched Caron, two 2nds, and a 3rd... and he's played only 38 NHL games.

I dunno something smells fishy to me, not touching that one with a 10 foot pole! - Ryan Ma

I wouldn't take the Flyer's moving him for picks as "they might know something." Track record thus far has shown the Flyers aren't always the best judge of goaltending talent. So far he's posting impressive numbers in the KHL. - tomekz1283

Yeah I only consider 1-year leagues... who knows what will happen 12 months later, heck I can't even tell you what will happen 2 weeks down the road or even tomorrow...

Ryan needs to have Selanne retire, and maybe Perry to get traded before they would have any significant fantasy impact.

He's essentially the prime example of a talented player hampered by too much organizational depth.

Ryan may be overvalued in one yr leagues, but certainly not in keeper leagues. - DuklaNation

Can't argue with these. Of the five teams I've drafted this year, I don't own a single one of these players. - Pengwin7
