Yeah, I was at the game last night...was hoping Tropp just had a stinger but the way he hobbled off the ice didn't look good.

Conacher is the real deal...he's already a very good pro hockey player and will be a star in the NHL. Always in the right place, the puck follows him around, he makes great plays and has perfect finish in close. Would have had 2 goals on the night if a perfect chance on a wide open net hadn't jumped over his stick.

For the Rochester side, I wasn't all that impressed with Hodgson...his footspeed is still an issue and his compete level wasn't that high. He was in on the first goal and didn't do much the rest of the game. Also wasn't impressed with Girgensons...for all the talk about how ready he is, he was completely invisible most of the game. First pro game, so I'll give him a pass for now. Tropp was great, was nice to see Mancari back in uniform, loved watching Phil Varone with space to work...he's like a miniature Tim Connolly with the sick hands and great moves...only problem is he tries to do too much a lot of the time. Defensively...Drew Schiestel has to go. Too slow, makes bad decisions...he's just gotta go. Didn't get to see Gauthier-Leduc as he was injured. TJ Brennan played well, I only caught him out of position once and it nearly cost a goal but Leggio made a great save. Pysyk got his first goal but he made a couple of bonehead plays that could have been costly...needs to stop trying to outlet pass in front of his own net. Foligno and Mcnabb were beastly all night, going to be very good NHL pros for a long time. - Reddawg
