I think we can safely say who's side you're on and who you blame for the possibilty of a lockout :D
Just glad you didn't let your bias effect your article, which was pretty good, thanks. - UKflames

I've been discussing this topic in the Dobber forums and I arrived at the exact same decisions you put forward in this article. - hockeyplayer168

Thankfully it's 2012 and it's still possible to simulate realistic stats based on present NHL attributes using something such as NHL 13, NHL 2004 with the modern mod (most accurate option), or Eastside Hockey Manager 2007 with the mod.

You can create your custom rosters, add them to whatever given team using any tool (this again is easiest with the NHL 2004 mod using NHL View) and simulate multiple seasons if you want. It makes thing interesting at least and obviously you can make any trades that happen in your league happen in the game plus add the option of injuries. If you don't like the present rosters then feel free to adjust them to your preference. Anyways, I'd recommend going on the NHL 2004 Rebuilt Mod site or the EHM mod site and asking around there for info since it's definetely doable. - Sportfreunde

I'd be interested in designing or being a part of a NHLE pool where you use the NHL Equivalency numbers for points. For PIMs and other stats you use per game numbers to normalize things... Drafting from any league that there is a NHLE number for, junior or pro. Only a one year league. Anyone in? - austeane

My two leagues

I run two leagues. We're going to have drafts no matter what... and then just wait. And if the lockout does strike, I'll probably run a temporary KHL fantasy league (like I did eight years ago, only then it was called Russian Superleague). Since everyone in my two leagues is Russian or Russian-American, that should attract enough interest. :-) - Pasha
