@Masterplan, I still think Reimer is a strong enough goaltender. He just had to shake some injuries last year, but he'll be fine this year ESPECIALLY if he gets more time to heal from a lockout. Regardless, you are right that goaltending should have been listed as a hole and a priority, simply because a backup isn't signed yet and/or a true #1 hasn't been acquired yet. I mentioned it in the article, but should have labeled it in that section as well.

@TOCanadafan, great point. I do like the offensive potential of this squad better under Wilson than Carlyle. I try not to get too far into trade rumors in here, but I would think Kulemin is a guy who get's moved before Christmas unless he plays lights out hockey quick.

@coldsquad2002, I think you're seeing a lot of that with GM's who aren't named Paul Holmgren. Most are thinking they might as well see what happens with the CBA - specifically in relation to the salary cap - before making a move. This would make perfect sense if the Leafs are truly targeting Luongo. Why invest in that contract until you know exactly what type of impact that will have on your squad with the new CBA structure. - Tim Lucarelli

Maybe they have not signed another goalie because Burke knows there will not be a full season. Thus, what is the rush. - coldsquad2002

I think the coaching change is an important factor - Carlyle decreases the overall fantasy potential of the Leafs. Carlyle gives lots of minutes to the checking line and face-off specialist (he was leaning on Steckel for a good period). He will still give the minutes to his #1 line, so the minutes will have to come from line 2. Thus, look for another decrease to Grabovski and no rebound for Macarthur. Kulemin most likely find his way on to the checking line - same minutes but in defensive situations. - TOCanadafan

The biggest hole is that 4 x 6 foot cage at the end of the ice, not their "defensive depth". Until they get a proven goaltender the Leafs have nothing to look forward to this season. - Masterplan
