It would appear that my understanding of the NHLPA proposal is different to yours, that's fine, my post was made using the information that I had read so far. Dressing it up as giving money back is very clever. The luxry tax will also see any parity that has been created in the league out of the door. The rich teams, maybe 10 at best, will follow the yankees budget system and everyone else becomes a feeder team for these rich clubs. As for the CBA, this is a solid offer by the players. It opens the door for serious earnings management by the ownership group though which they should be salivating at. Early recognition of revenues to boost growth margins wil lsurely become a problem. The players may be giving up more than they think as projected growth may "suddenly" skyrocket.
