Mentally he can't come back to form, and if you can't work your way back while in Columbus, where dare I say, the media pressure is non-existent, then what destination would allow him a truly clean slate? He could catch on in a back up role, playing 12-15 games a year, but never as a starter. No goaltender wants to leave the NHL for another league, for fear of not making it back. However in Mason's case, he should sign in the KHL, and hopefully dominate to get NHL teams thinking about him positively again.
