I may be wrong in that regard. Also, don't the tv deals favour the owners, making a full season favourable to them as a lock out would be bad for business (ratings, attendance, continuity, frequency). I understand that it would be bad for all parties involved, but it seems to me that the owners stand to lose leverage should a lockout occur. Perhaps I am completely wrong. It's to the players' advantage to play through it. That's why it's a lockout, not a strike.
