I don't believe Nashville will miss Suter the way people think they will. He was a part of a system. Yes he is a good defenceman, but I don't believe he is worth the money he is getting. Just watch Nashville will be fine and will go on with life just like in the past. - Millhouse

You don't think this hurts Heatley?

Somehow, I highly doubt that Playing next to Granlund on the 2nd line will be beneficial to Dany Heatley. He just flatly slid down the MIN depth chart by one full line and I can't see how this does anything but hurt his value.

Moreover, based on your line projections this is a HUGE boost for Setoguchi, who now gets to play with Heatley and Granlund, as opposed to nobody. - number54

I wonder how the dynamic duo from the Saint John Sea Dogs will factor into tis lineup. I believe Charlie Coyle and Zack Phillips will make legitimate claims to make this team as well. I can see a Setoguchi-Coyle-Phillips, 3rd line pairing by some point in 2013! - Anthony Lancione

Just to be clear, I only look at the impact of the team they sign with, not the team they left - Dobber

Methinks Granlund will get moved to the wing now, unless Cullen (who recruited these guys hard) or Brodziak get traded, or else Konopka gets benched LOTS. What about Coyle too? Thoughts? - swampmule

Players this hurts:

Kovalchuk :P

How much trouble are the Devils in without Parise?

That's a huge deal for Suter. That's more money than Brian Campbell makes! That's more than Doughty, Chara and Karlsson.

...And like, a million bucks more per season than Wade Redden ;) - gfhyde
