"And the draft is only eight days away… what better way to prepare than picking up a copy of our 2012 Fantasy Prospects Report?"

What? A team might ask my advice on who to draft? ;)

bernier

Wow Can we over exaggerate Bernier's worth any more than has already been done in this rambling? No way in hell Yzerman pays a 1st plus Brett Connolly...absolutely ridiculous. Bernier will likely be moved but the price will not be anywhere near that, and I'd be willing to guarantee Yzerman isnt interested in Bernier anyways. Speculation is fun though. - The Hockey Hitman

Chris Kelly

I watched a lot of bruins games last season and chris kelly was a "difference maker" who far from struggled in a defensive role....? It is interesting how different ramblers view player value...just after that contract was signed the ramblings said it was a good value. But thats why I like this site, its good to get differences of opinion. I happen to disagree with that one though angus...if the b's can land him for less then that would be nice but the guy does all the little things that help teams run a 4 line offense and win big games. - hockey

Moller

Hi Angus,

Question about your Moller tweet. At what point should an NHl team unload a prospect because it is in the best interest of the prospect (not necessarily the team). Moller seems to have the skills to compete for a regular spot on some NHL teams but is definitely not in the Kings plans.

I think of Brian Burke with Bryzgalov and love or hate Burke you have to give him credit for doing what was right for Bryz at the time and waiving him knowing he would get picked up on waivers. - davidgoodburn

As a Ranger fan, I'm not offended by Parise's comments about not wanting to sign with the Rangers. I grew up a Ranger fan in NJ, but when the Devils came to NJ from COL, I just couldn't sway myself to root for them over my Rangers, so I get it.

I do wonder how the Devil's are going to creatively come up with a competitive offer to whatever the Rangers or Red Wings can offer and from the sounds of it, Minnesota. So maybe he gives a hometown discount to remain with the Devils, to stay living where he loves to live and amongst his family. But, if the disparity between the Devils offer and that of the Rangers, Red Wings and Wild is that much different, he'll have to choose between throwing away lots of money or living far away from his "safe zone".
Maybe in the end, it's about being happy, so I'd put my money on him resigning with the Devils.
Wish him the best of luck, he's a great player, would love to have him on my team. Just don't duck out on interviews again. - Kevin9
