Hell thats more games than Pascal Leclaire usually played as a #1! He's got 68 NHL games, with 38 wins and a .928sv pct- and is cool as cucumber (unlike Roberto). Point I'm trying to make is, assuming that defense and offense are balanced equally - Karlsson's gap over Weber offensively is great than Weber's gap over Karlsson defensively. Add up the two values and it's an easy Karlsson win. He hasn't played more than 33 games. The trophy is presented to "defense player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position". You are taking into account which defenseman was most important to his team, which is not part of the criteria.
