He had better counting stats than Faulk, and he did that in 15 fewer games. Faulk had only 2 more PPPTs. Nikitin had a higher average TOI and PP TOI. If I remember properly, Nikitin was a -8 when traded from St Louis so his plus/minus was pretty much even for Columbus...that's impressive given how bad a team they were. Maybe Faulk projects better based on being only 20 years old, but don't sleep on Nikitin. I wrote it in a forum thread before, but it might have been lost in the migration... Khabibulin in a contract year is a completely different monster... 85-50-21 (54.5% win rate), 2.25 GAA and .918 SP... Non-contract year: 243-278-95 (39.4% win rate), 2.84 GAA and .905 SP... I'm not in Khabi's head, but his motivation factor during the contract years seems to be much higher than the seasons that he has job security. If the Oilers move him, the team that picks him up could be absolutely laughing at getting a goalie of his calibre on the cheap...
