53pts and 31PPP are nice... but,
4G
-9
6 PIM
130 SOG

And then Buff is listed in D-pair #2.
???

You really should have put Buff with Enstrom on D-pair #1.
Then you could have gone with Bieksa, Shattenkirk or Del Zotto on D-pair #2.

First you start by talking about with an emphasis on fantasy hockey production and then you start talking about Brian Campbell's MINUTES.

You deviated from your intent re: Campbell & fantasy hockey value.
Otherwise, a very nice list. - Pengwin7

Bit weak from the West Coast...and I am not sure Quick is the right goalie from the West...I think Mike Smith had it worst and delivered better. Great article for discussion however...Angus you always make me think... - mike hess

a club even THN wrote off as being "Unproven" went into the last night of the season in contention for the Presidents cup. Losing arguably their best defenseman after a crushing hit from his brother, yet the coach and the players wanted the win more than the competition on most nights. They went out and got that win too. Talk about being a prime cut.

If we are counting hits how about the Rangers captain perchance with 287 of them, not to mention the 13 PPG on a team with a woeful powerplay ? The guy is a dervish and leads his club by example, a complete class act.

I won't go into Henke because his career speaks volumes. Quick had a fantastic season no doubt but Henrik has been doing it for 7 years in a row. Lets see Quick do that before giving him the title shall we ?

or Ryan McDonaugh ? going into the season with 40 GP for his entire NHL career and playing top pairing minutes for a team with 50 wins. 182 blocked shots as well. Granted his offensive numbers weren't Karlsson like, they don't need to be for his team to win on most nights.

Anyway thanks for putting it together Angus.

Can't wait to see how the rangers Ontario born blueline performs in Otttawa - paul
