I am VERY interested in the Hall/Datsyuk matchup. That will go a long way in determining how GMs view keeper value. Young/High Upside/Yet to peak vs Older/May not hit 97pts again/yet reliable - bomm

The reason I don't have Crosby in the final 4 is because I don't see him getting past Ovechkin. I can't see many people taking an injury Crosby over a healthy Ovechkin, even with Ovechkin's struggles this year. All things considered, I still consider Ovechkin, Malkin, and Crosby in a class to themselves, but each year I often interchange their order. Right now, for obvious reasons, I have Malkin first, Ovechkin second, and Crosby third.

Of course I'm sure there are some who still have Crosby ahead of Ovechkin.

I'm definitely interested in seeing how the individual battles pan out. - SeaDawg

Thanks Shoeless, I was hoping this would be a hit. There may or may not be plans in place for other such tournaments.

Group of Death, nice Wes.

Crosby’s fate is easily the most intriguing story line in this whole tournament. He could get knocked off by anyone, or he could win the whole thing. Such a wildcard.

BTW, anyone interested in doing over/unders for this thing? You gotta think Crosby is a 20 vote favourite in round one.

Shoeless, thank you, I thought I was the only thinking that the absence of Crosby in the discussion of the final four was odd not to mention silly.

The mere fact that fantasy GMs are latching on to him tight as ever, despite his latest spate of injuries, is indicative in and of itself of his other worldly value. If concussion and vertebrae issues aren't enough for GMs to give up on his ungodly high end upside....how much more valuable can a player be?? - bomm

Group of Death is by far the Richards bracket. Final 4 - Malkin, Datsyuk, D. Sedin, Stamkos - wes

Wonderfully creative, Steve. Got D and G ones ready to go?

By the tone of the comments already posted, I must have missed Crosby's passing. - Shoeless

Dobber is correct, this is more about the individual battles along the way but there is definite room for some upsets to take place. Based on the polls I did with the writers to come up with the brackets the top eight, the top four and even the top two are far from solid. - steve laidlaw

I would suggest that this is mostly about the individual battles leading up to the obvious final. They will prove interesting and enlightening. Most of them. - Dobber

I love the idea, but it is pretty clear it will be Malkin vs Stamkos in the end, with Malkin coming out ahead. I'll even go so far as to predict the final 4 as Malkin, Ovechkin, H. Sedin, and Stamkos. There are some intriguing battles, though. - SeaDawg
