Halak on team

Hi Justin,

I have Halak on my keeper pool team. While most teams have two goalies, and a couple have three, I took the game of just going with one. I'm just interested in your thoughts for next season. I'm thinking of getting rid of Halak next season or do you feel he is a good one to hang onto for Keeper leagues? I may again employ a one goalie system. Last year I had three, which included Halak, Elliott and Craig Anderson. Halak had the best season of the three. Though for the seasons they all had last year I'm not sure how much that says. - Emanuel Sequeira

Good find. Yeah, it sure seems Bishop feels like he has proven everything he can in the AHL. Maybe he does get moved as part of a package deal during the NHL Trade Deadline. Elliott's contract lacks a no-trade clause, so I still think the 2-year extension is less about him being there forever and more about them securing a legitimate asset that could be moved at any given moment. If I were Bishop, I'd still look to re-sign in STL. - Justin Goldman
