Have to agree with Frank here. Even though Giroux may be more cost effective than Malkin, until he posts numbers (and consistently) like Malkin's. His trajectory is going nowhere but up, but his numbers aren't as impressive as Malkin's as early as Malkin's were. Giroux is turning into a stud but I definitely wouldn't draft him before Malkin in a regular league, nor in one with a salary cap. - Ryan Goddard

you cannot even compare Giroux to Malkin. Sure this year Giroux is posting great numbers, but Malkin posted 85pts in his very first season (in 78gp) Giroux, on his side, had only 74pts in his first 126gp!!! Malkin is 1.21ppg in his 379 games in career! ... Let see if Giroux can do that. Cause right now, he is only 0.81 and already 237 games played. He would need 264pts in his next 142 games, which is impossible for him to do. Sorry, but even if Giroux is a great player, he's not on same level as Malkin! - Frank

..his cost/everything ratio would be phenomenal in comparison to any of the top paid players! Giroux is an absolute beast in salary cap leagues. - ryan Goddard

I know some of the Dobber writers have a man crush on Malkin. Sure he's great and all, but Claude Giroux is better.

Don't beleive me? Wait and see who wins the scoring race. - Nate
