I feel more comfortable writing on the games I watch, which are more often than not featuring Vancouver.

Gerald - the HBO special really highlighted the differences. A coach like BB is fine if you have assistant coaches who can handle the strategies and the implementation of them. - Jeff Angus

Bylsma

Bylsma is a terrific coach. I gained a lot of respect for him on that HBO thing last winter. Good advice to players that helps them improve & do their jobs better.

I would like to re-enact that same pre-game speech with Boudreau in place of Bylsma (I will just use F in place of the whole word for the sake of decency):

"You gotta F'N work harder than the other F'N guy if you want the F'N puck! You gotta f'n want it! Don't hang your head! F'N get after it! We are good! We will win games if we work hard! But you guys gotta F'N want it! Don't hang your head if we get scored on! Come back and shoot the F'N puck! Get some goals! We will win! F F F F F!"

Can you spot the difference between the two coaches? - gerald

With 13 games on the schedule and 26 teams in action there certainly is a boat load of Canuck's new again today.....haha. In saying that, good ramblings and I especially like the shout out for TJ Brodie from Dresden, ON (where I went to high school).

Eller

Eller got going when he was back at center after a Gomez injury. He plays much better when he's a center than a winger. He had good chemistry with Andrei Kostitsyn when the two of them were on the same line earlier this season. He could get some points if Gomez misses games and A. Kostitsyn comes back. - Louis-Alexandre Jalbert

Okposo: Patience and clairvoyance. You likely needed to bench someone else to play him with such a busy schedule last night.

Tim Stapleton: He popped up in the ramblings on Nov 15th after a few productive games (a depth forward to keep an eye on). He hasn't played a game since. Any guesses on why he's warming the bench? - Edm
