D Partner Connection

I have such a hard time believing either will be moved, although crazier things have and will happen. The main reason is because the two have such a great connection playing together, and although both would be successful playing with another D partner, I feel they truly enjoy playing alongside one another. Suter and Weber totally remind me of two partners in the police force, and I willing to bet they would make great police officers both in real life and on tv. - Ross The Boss Palmer

what about weber going to edmonton? they have some talent up front they can part with, they should be willing to deal picks as they already stocked their cupboards, and weber is a huge puzzle piece that they are currently missing. i have heard radio personalities talk about the prospect of persuing weber as far back as last year, do you think they'd could throw together an attractive offer considering there would be 28 other offers for nashville to consider? - Dave

i think the nucks just have so many fans that you see these rumors going around for them instead of others. I think most playoff teams would want suter of weber at the deadline. Suter will get the team a late first rounder or a solid prospect. using van as an example tanev for suter would make sense value wise to me. even if he is just a rental, maybe more to a team the wants first crack at him.

Weber will just demand so much in the trade market that i think the team with the GM with the biggest balls will land him. So i think it will be a boarderline contender that wants to make a splash.

Perfect world to me goes like this:
Schneider to NJ for a 2nd and 3rd rounder
hodgson,tanev, a 1st, (2nd and 3rd from nj) for weber

i think this gives enough for every team to be interested. NJ does not have a solution in goal, but has peices everwhere else. They are giving up about what we have seen goalies get moved for in the past and get the missing peice long term they need. The Nucks get the elite D they want, and nashville gets 1 top 6 forward with room to grow, a blue chip prospect, 2 great picks and one solid pick. - notoriousjim
