Jared, in that situation, I try to look at which line the guy is playing on. Setoguchi and Parenteau are both playing on the top lines for their respective clubs, with Setoguchi having less competition to uproot him than Parenteau. In terms of ice time and potential to have a big impact, I think the safest bet is Setoguchi. Parenteau is playing great in his role, but it's not guaranteed to last. Voracek is a potential stud, but he will likely be shuffled around a bit. That makes Seto the least risky pick. If you're willing to roll the dice, both Parenteau and Voracek are nice adds. - Tim Lucarelli

I'm debating making a deal for either Setoguchi,Voracek and now Parenteau has caught my eye.All have stellar linemates, just for basic point upside what are you thoughts? - Jared

I actually really think Kyle Okposo should be on that top line, but Parenteau is doing a great job of proving why he belongs there. He seems to be turning into JT's set up man and JT is an awesome player to form chemistry with. If Parenteau comes off Tavares' line, you're not going to see much value there, but as long as he sticks, he's definitely a solid pickup. - Tim Lucarelli

Great article. Lots of good insights and I agree with nearly everything you've said.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on PA Parenteau? Seems to not be getting a lot of attention, but playing alongside JT could make him this years Jonathon Cheechoo! Plus he's also in a contract year.... Thoughts on him going forward?? - alwaysfour20
