At this point I think people should be picking who OTHER than Lidstrom will win the Norris Trophy. Just picking Lidstrom is lazy! - Ryan Lenethen

Pens

The Pens are an excellent pick. I believe they're overlooked by many. That some have the perception that they're the product of a few stars and that when those stars go down, that they're not even a legitimate playoff team. I was massively impressed last season, when they finished with the second best record in franchise history, while giving up less than 200 goals for only the second time in franchise history (lockout aside). All this without the mojo of Sid or Gino for half a season each.

Now, I think leading the pack by a whisker, and massively hungry, are those Capitals. Great sleepers are without question the Rangers (great defensive club) and the Flyers (some felt the NHLs best blueline last year).

That the panel would pick the Pens. Demonstrates they know what they're talking about. Pens on all cyclinders will be fearful. - Jocular Hockey Manager

Really surprised and confused by all the love for the Penguins and Malkin shown here. Feels like I am reading Gery Bettman's personal blog. Lets just say I emphatically disagree, but that's what makes predictions fun I guess. - Gibert Dionne

How can this guy pick the Sabres to be out of the playoffs and at the same time pick Miller to win the Vezina? The two are mutually exclusive.

Therefore I consider all of his predictions to be nonsense. - Robert Esquire
