Read made the Flyers out of camp and will line up with Schenn and Simmonds.

Really like this kid. Historically a point-per-game player bodes well for his production, and the fact that he is a "2-way" player means he will stick on the roster. - Paul's Coffey

I'm watching him play Winnipeg right now. I missed the announcement - my bad. - Stuart McDonald

I like Smith. He's got a decent future ahead of him and he's had a darn good training camp. I'm not sure there is a whole lot of room for him on the big club this season as he's got a reasonably tough top-nine to break into, but he'll at least get a few call-ups for sure. He has an outside chance of making the top nine this season because of his two-way game. He's very responsible in his own end, he can dish the puck and he's got decent size. The Preds will likely want to see how he adjusts to the pros, but I don't see him having any problems producing in Milwaukee given what he's shown in camp. He has upside as a defensively responsible second liner. - Stuart McDonald

Any thoughts on him? How do you see him shaking out in Nashville this year and beyond? Nice job! - JW

I hear you. I write about 19-24 year olds. I can't write about Scheifele or Zibanejad because they were drafted this year. That's someone else's area. - Stuart McDonald

Hey how about Scheifele? The one player you probably should have written about.... ;p - Nate
