That rule change is a FAIL. Put a transmitter in the puck so you know 100% if the puck has crossed the line even if you cannot see it. Make the goal reviewers redundant and speed up the games. - Atomic Wedgy

lol ok let me give this another try. I understand the current rule I guess I just don't understand why it would be in contention for a change? I'm having a hard time understanding how calling icing while shorthanded would help the game? I firmly believe offense comes through the flow of the game. Nothing I hate more than stoppage in play. Thanks. - Hockey Hoser

I'm saying, Mr. Big Ev, that a perennial fantasy hockey champion with a Degree and a Doctorate in Business Management and a lot of charisma, who played some hockey at the midget level, would be a successful GM. Was that not clear? Nothing against the current crop of GM's who are ex-players, I just find it difficult to believe that if you interviewed the top 10 million candidates for the job on the planet, that they would even crack the top thousand. I know I get too philosophical sometimes...

No icing while shorthanded: Currently, you are allowed to ice the puck and it doesn't get whistled down.

Ok, another one. Forgive me if I'm completely just missing what's right in front of me:

"No Icing While Shorthanded"....This one baffles me, could someone please explain to me the logic?

Dobber you mentioned you'd pass it because "players don’t do that with five-minute disadvantages, so why in the hell would they do it on a two-minute disadvantage". I'm not sure I follow you here either, what do you mean they don't do it with a five-minute disadvantage? Do what exactly? Ice the puck? I always thought that was acceptable being short handed on the ice. Cheers. - Hockey Hoser

it's who know...isn't? Out of fairness, Joe Nieuwendyk's defense...he did play 3 seasons at Cornell, a reputable and well established Ivy League school. Whether he received a degree or actually went to any real courses besides pool management 101 is up for debate. By all means, I'd love to hear from Joe on this one. - Hockey Hoser
