question should Edmonton make a move to acquire Vokun. would be a nice fit in my eyes because i don't see Dubie or Deslauriers as Elite NHL starters - Trevor Czerwinski

Varlomov vs Vokun

Colorado gives up their 1st and 2nd picks for next years draft (1st could possibly be another top 5) for a talented but unproven goalie prospect who lost his starting job in washington due to injuries and talent outplaying him.The terms of this contract are somewhat cheaper than Vokun's would have been. It still doesn't make sense. Colorado is not known to be good at developing young goaltenders and with Seymon's bandaid status wouldn't they have been better off in the future with their picks and a proven goaltender that eventhough costs more can play 60+ games at a higher level. Colorado has a lot of talent and i thought they could be a contender but they continually degress as a team by continual bonehead moves by management. Heres hoping Vokun will find a team that appreciates his great talent and great move by Washington to acquiring a possible first overall 2012 pick - Trevor Czerwinski
