Fantasy-wise, Hank is definitely the man.

It's a close matchup, no doubt. From a fantasy perspective, I'd have to side with you and go with Zetterberg for the peripheral stats, like SOG and PIM.

However, Datsyuk is probably the more skilled player of the two. This doesn't decide the cage match, though. In fact, it has nothing to do with the cage match, really. But, someone has to say it: to say that Pavel has hands of gold would be a drastic under-statement of his mitts. His puck handling ability is on a level quite its own. Think back to the top-10 goals of 2010-11... is it just me, or does Pavel have his sweet hands on half of them? - Jeff

octopi

Ktox, I appreciate your attention to detail but I have to disagree for several reasons. First being that you'll find octopi (along with octopuses) as a plural form of octopus in several dictionaries including the Oxford English dictionary. Secondly, I was instructed to use octopi as the plural form in my Invertebrate Biology course this year. If it's good enough for my professor (an expert on the subject) I feel confident using it elsewhere. Finally, and this one will make me out to be a real pretentious bastard but I'll say it anyway, there is no governing body for the English language, which means I can make up any word I want and so long as I am able convey my message and give it meaning it is a legitimate expression in the English language. - steve laidlaw

The plural of Octopus is Octopuses, because the origin is Greek not Roman. - ktox

Zetterberg

Nice writeup Steve. I would choose Zetterberg in standard categories as well simply because G/SOG players are more valuable and harder to find, especially for those with LW eligibility if you split forward positions. Assists are easier to find and I never draft for plus/minus. The rest is a crapshoot or relatively insignificant when looking at your entire roster IMO. - horrorfan

If "highlight reels" were a category, datsyuk might take it.

good cage match Steve. Love this feature.

think these guys are past their prime or still a few years left in the tank? - Rob Myatt
