Dukla,
I'm somewhat concerned as well, but I think they'll keep Adam at center, so the Stafford signing doesn't worry me as much. In 1-2 years, I assume Buffalo will have traded at least a couple of their assets at forward. Connolly is a UFA and may not be healthy enough to be re-signed even if the Sabres wanted him back, so there's one hole now. While I agree it would help if he had some room created for him, I also think that shouldn't happen until this time next year or possibly at the deadline of the coming year. He needs some work on his stride like you mentioned.

Ma,
Personally, I tend to like Kassian more, but it really depends on what you're looking for and when. Kassian is going to take longer to make an impact in the NHL, but his multi-category presence is very alluring to me, much like Steve Downie. Adam will progress faster, but I feel his ceiling is lower than Kassian's. If I am in a hurry, I'll take Adam but if I have a deep system, I'll take Kassian.

That said, that's my assessment of each player individually. I could very well see Adam being Kassian's center which would be an awesome up-and-coming duo for Buffalo and it would close the gap on each player's point production. - Tim Lucarelli

Excellent insight Tim!

Just wondering how do you compare Adams to Kassian? If you had a choice to pick between the two who would you select first and why? - Ryan Ma

I like his potential aside from his slow 1st step. However, Id like to see him traded as I dont see his pt potential given Stafford re-signing. Then again, I see a lot of players around like this. Im surprised Buffalo gave Stafford that much based on that 1 hot streak. Aside from that he's been a 20-25 goal scorer (and inconsistent at that). - DuklaNation
