Thanks Shoeless. Try not to resist ;) Attempts will be futile.

Larry, I think SJ is very good at evaluating goalies, but they haven't had to develop any into a true NHL goalie (aside from Greiss) because Nabokov was clogging things up. Now that they brought in Niemi to take over, there will still be a need to develop their prospects as Niitty enters the final year of his contract. Stalock is on a perfect path to be SJ's next backup and could take over the starting role. I'd say they are now at the point where their ability to evaluate talent (signing JP Anderson as an UFA is a great example) will pay off and actually be needed. - Justin Goldman

Believe it or not, you are slowly dragging me kicking and screaming into a much better awareness of who's who in the goalie world. Really enjoyed the read, thanks. - Shoeless

So SJ signs another goalie prospect...but hasnt promoted anyone since Nabokov....makes you wonder what theyre thinking/doing. They havent even given one much of a shot as a backup- Greiss got the best shot- but nothing for Stalock,Sateri,Sexsmith so far nor Dakers and Patzold (longershots) in the past.
Either they suck at evaluating goalies- or at developing them- any insight on that? - Larry
