I really like the format you've gone to as well, not picking 6 top pairing guys.

I probably would have given Enstrom the nod over Byfuglien in part because when I saw Atl play without enstrom the big man just looked lost a lot of the time. I don't see them a lot but I'm thinking he's the grease in Byfuglien's gears that makes it all work. I also think if Pit's big guns don't get hurt Letang owns a spot.

Only other one I might do different would be Wisniewski in - man I've always thought he was better than most gave him credit for but seriously where did this come from.

I think Giordano is appropriate and is probably 2nd pairing on a good team, which Prime Cuts should be.

But not in love? c'mon - we all know you've had a man-crush on Yandle for years. Just like mine for Hansen, though at least yours has pool value. - Sanstanya

Hey Angus!

Always look forward to the Prime Cuts. I was a bit disappointed last year when you picked otherwise top pairing dmen toplay in your 5/6 slots and I voiced m opinion then.

So, it's only right I voice my opinion now! Love the McQuaid/Hamonic pairing (what NHL team wouldn't want them on the back end?). McQuaid, especially, has flown under the radar largely because he's not fantasy relevant but he really has been a revelation for the Bruins this year. He works hard and is willing to listen to the coaches and apply what they tell him so, in that respect, he's a coach's dream.

Harmonic, just a solid warrior on the back end. More raw talent than McQuaid I think too so he has more upside offensively.

I'm glad you made the effort to recognize these guys.

Good article and I'm looking forward to the next one. - lcbtd

I tried to make it somewhat realistic. Visnovsky is not a second pairing defenseman.

Giordano probably isn't either.

I am not "in love" with any player. I have my favorites, for good reason. They produce, and are often not valued appropriately. - Jeff Angus

I like the team but I think the Giordano pick is just a homer pick. Your in love with him so you picked him.

I am not argueing because I am not fantasy mind...I just think Visnovsky deserved better. - derek

As fantasy hockey value goes, these guys are great choices and I have no argument. So argue I shall not. Well done Angus. - Pengwin7
