I don't think the NYR need another defenseman but for a 3rd rounder and a guy in Kennedy they weren't using ? not too shabby actually with Del Zotto going back to the AHL to get some top pairing minutes this was a low cost upgrade that hopefully with propel NY into the playoffs after missing it last year by a whisker last game loss to the fly boys. I guess Sather thought that with the extra 2nd rounder he had from the Sanguinetti trade he could afford to pay a 3rd for an experienced blueline who can hopefully anchor the powerplay.
