Regin's PP time

If last night's game is any indication, the Fisher trade will be awesome for Regin. He had his season's 2nd highest PP time (3.8min) and his ice time shot up too. We'll see over the next few games how it averages out, but it could be a good indicator. Any Sens fans see the game? Big role increase for Regin? - tradejunkie

Carcillo, I think we will see better play from Regin next year. It's just been such a bizarre year for Ottawa that I don't think anyone on the team benefits in the short-term from this deal, except for smoe Bingo guys who will be/already are called up.

Keep an eye on whoever they draft this year/other prospects already in the system...that #2 centre spot is wide open. If tey draft RNH they may rush him into that spot, or a guy like Silfverberg could get a shot. - Big Ev

No mention of Peter Regin? To me this trade helps him the most as now he has a chance to grab that #2 C spot for himself.

It's time for Regin to shine. - Carcillo

This doesn't really hurt Michalek at all. He is playing with Spezza now that he's back. - Big Ev

Since when is Cal O'Reilly out for the season?
Isn't the latest news that he had surgery in early January and would be out two months? - Cory
