He scored 11 points (7+4) in 7 games and only four players (Eberle, Tavares, Hodgson and Filatov) scored more points and only Filatov and Tavares scored more goals. Last year everybody in Wings organization expected him to join junior team. As he said at that time he wanted to play for Grand Rapids, not for juniors and managed to make the team. He does not hesitate to go to corners or hit and considering his small frame i am sometimes affraid that he cant survive that type of game too long. A friend of mine spoke to him at the end of november, when he scored those 7 points and he was a little bit sceptic about his chance to play for Detroit considering their deep, veteran loaded roster. Injuries of Detroit players have given him that chance and he took it well. As i can see, Tatar needs about one more year to be NHL-ready, but progres between pre-season games he played for Detroit and now is clearly visible. They compare him a lot to Hudler, but Hudler won't play physical game and Tatar skates much better than him. As I always say this sight is just THE BEST! One thing is missing though. My fantasy team is full of young, "hockey sense" kind of guys, who can score and make plays. However, my league counts PIMS, HITS and BLCKS. So I need to know not only if he goes to the "high traffic" areas, but how big is he, does he play a physical game (hits), and even in Detroit where this is not done very often, can he drop the mits?
