Great Isles move

I have to say I think this is a great deal for the Isles. Certainly not short term, but potentially over the long haul. Wiz is a journeyman. He had seemingly found a comfortable home on a defensively woeful club in New York. That doesn't prove much though. He'll now have to compete for his ice time. It does appear that he's playing the best hockey of his career. That the ice time was just what he needed. We'll see if he's got enough defensive jam to play for a team that's contending now. The Isles will be able to sign some new guys that are looking to rejuvenate their careers in the off season. Players like Wiz are always available. Thus the two draft picks, including a second, are great for their overall picture. They need to get more solid kids in the pipeline. - Jocular Hockey Manager

Great Signing by Habs

As a Habs fan, I am elated with this signing. I believe Wisniewski is a very underated defenseman. I look at this trade as an absolute steal if we can sign him to a couple of years. I think if I were going to compare him to a Habs defenseman of late it would be closer to Sheldon Souray. He's tough as nails, in your face and is very good at moving the puck out of his zone and running the powerplay. I am very, very happey with this trade for the Habs. The Wiz can do it all.

I love Kaberle for what he can do as well and think many Teams would love to acquire him as well. However, if the price really is a 1st rounder and top forward I'll take this deal for The Wiz anyday!!!
