It's just a bit of a joke in the hockey context for players who have a great goals to assists ratio. This season he's at 2.87... Kane has a career 2.91 SOG/game average. This season he's at 3.03... That's pretty close to around 6 per game between the two... and at 18.75 percent of their team 32 SOG/game average. It's kinda been artificially inflated because both of them have been out of the lineup so someone had to take the shots. Don't get me wrong I still think that Sharpie will get his SOG, just not at the current pace. Kane and Hossa both think pass first. Sharpie has been locked and loaded all season, with or without Kane and Hossa in the lineup. Not saying he'll stay on pace for 350, but 300 is likely. Good article nonetheless.
