Sorry Leaf fans- he has no truculence in his game, so Burkie has already stated hes not interested. Cherry called him a mini-Hammarstrom and a puckhog, but the Habs are looking at him for their top line with Cammy and Gionta- they need some more size on that line apparently. ;D - Larry

OMG man!!! I'm pretty sure it's super obvious that there's some major tongue in cheek going on here. Time to recalibrate your sarcasm-o-meter and stop taking the world so seriously. - David

Criticisms... Unnecessary

Avoid the criticisms fellas, he's 10 years old. A child. Let him be one. He's not judging you and he's not looking to be judged. I know the comments here are to be taken with a grain of salt, and whether the comments posted are serious or not needs to be considered, but comparing him to others in Arizona or whatever else is written is ridiculous. Just watch the videos and be happy knowing the youth will always play the sport for its purity. The arguments, whether sarcastic or not, remind me of the children who say "Oh yea, well my daddy can beat up your daddy!". Let the young guy have some fun and stop trying to turn him into Daigle with your hype and/or criticisms. - Ross The Boss Palmer

Sorry Bugg but I think you are classically overrating this young kid. His game is one dimensional. His defensive awareness stinks and no back checking. His face off % is lacking and his little toe drag move is going to get figured out pretty quick in the NHL. He's gonna have to figure out how to improve his 2-way game before he goes anywhere.

All that said some guy in my league just picked him up off the waiver wire and I was forced to trade Kessel for him. I'll stash him away on my farm team for 10 years or so and hope for the best. What do think his long term upside is? 50-60 pts??? - David

MEP MEP

Not sure Bugg if this kid could withstand the physical play of the NHL... and his game seems to lack some finish as far as I can tell. - Brendan Connolly

Not to rain on his parade

Not to knock a 10 year old, but, honestly, he's playing against incredibly novice players that can't even skate (in the videos). Manglerud doesn't seem to have very much depth in some sort of segregated division system to allow better players to play with/against players of their equal skill level as they develop. Even in Arizona here, I've seen 10 year old travel teams that would absolutely wreck the rubbish that MEP is playing against in these videos. Don't get me wrong, he's awesome and would no doubt be a top player on a higher end team/league (referenced by how good he did at the U12 tourney) but people shouldn't be as amazed as they are by these videos. - Travis Ma

You need to see the video on youtube, the kid is special. Brings back memories of Vinny Lecavalier when he was just a kid playing with older kids. - Richard Payette
