My comment about Lehtonen playing a third year in the AHL is that had he played a third year in the AHL, he would have needed to show a major surge in production. He was at the same level in his two years in Providence. This Swedish sabbatical might be a permanent switch for him because of his soft play, but if he has an eye on returning to North America, it helps his chances. It doesn't help more than making a similar improvement in the AHL, but certainly more than a modest jump in production in the AHL would have. As Chris Hayward pointed out, Lehtonen might never play for the Bruins. I wouldn't rule out him returning to NHL with another franchise, however. - Ryan Van Horne</description>
