Also, I wouldn't want to jinx him by saying he has Semin type upside. During the practice earlier that day, he had put Connolly on a line with Stamkos and St. Louis, and he said that he didn't look out of place at all. He said, in his own words, that he wasn't giving him a candy just because he was that year's first rounder, but to see what he could do. He said that it would be difficult for most players to even keep up with the two speedsters, but said that Connolly's hockey smarts allowed him to play with them even though he wasn't as fast up the ice. In the Prospects Report, Matt Bugg pegged it at 30-30-60. I thought that was a little now, but understood the caution given his injury. If he remains completely healthy and gets valuable playing and development time, I would push his upside higher.
