I must be tired. I see and agree with what you're saying! Kane could certainly step it up this year at little cost in one year leagues. It's funny with E.Staal. Ever since that awesome year, he's been a puck tease! I think he could hit 85+ points this year and wouldn't hesitate to take him in that group of players.

Sure glad hockey is back! - Russ

RE: Kane/Staal

Yeah I was leaning more towards "making the season" rather than breaking it... Kane I think could certainly "make" plenty of seasons, if he manages to say put up 60 points, and plenty of PIMs and SOG on the top-line for ATL. Not a lot of people invested too highly on him, so that's not a bad investment for such a low pick.

Staal we're always referring back towards the 100 point season, that he had 5 season's ago, and won't ever let go. He had a span where he tallied 34 points in 25 games in December and January, and always keeps us guessing... but sadly never there. - Ryan Ma

Yeah, Varlamov should definitely be on this list. He's the odds on favourite, but not a sure bet.

I'll disagree on E.Kane Atl - the expectations shouldn't be there yet, at least in my opinion. Obviously his future is very bright.

I see E.Staal having a big year with very little reservations. I don't see Kessel/Versteeg as being far off their projections, that's why they never made my list.

Thanks Ryan

Washington.

Gotta throw in Varly and Neuvirth. I know a whole heap of people who gambled on Varly with an fairly early pick even one person with a 2nd round pick... He goes down burning and you've lost yourself a pretty hefty investment.

A few more from me: Kane - Atl, Staal - Car, Kessel/Versteeg - TO - Ryan Ma
