Well wrote story, I'd just like to add that if you keep a well balanced core of NHL level players and prospect players, you can trade your NHL level player for a prospect(s)because one of your prospects has made the every day jump, I call this the revolving door effect. - David Lutz

Forgot to add one comment to my last post. Everyone should be able to nail your top picks and collecting multiple first-round picks helps, too. But the key to building your team quickly is to draft well later and this requires doing your homework. It's a labour of love, but if you love the game like most of us, it's easy enough to do. - Ryan Van Horne

Brendan, looks like you've got quite a pool of young guys there and you must have several high picks if you're going to land Hall, Seguin and Eberle this year. I love the look of your team and you should be able to identify a core group that you can keep together for several years. Doesn't look like you need any advice from me. Just out of curiousity, how many teams are in your league? - Ryan Van Horne

Good read!
Everyone in my league keeps telling me you can't grow a winner. I'm inclined to agree, but you need to grow something substantial to win. The key is patience. Next is knowing which prospects to trade and for what. It will be a very important draft and season for me. This is the third year of the rebuild, and I will need to start trading guys with great potential. I will land Hall, Seguin and Eberle this year. Here's my sig.
