Cup of coffee at best. Wolski is horrible up the middle - the Avs learned that on several occasions. So Ebbett, with a threat of waivers, could make waves. He's more suited to W and that's what he played when two years ago. Ebbett's most realistic chance to be in the NHL is if Tippett decides Turris is not yet ready for the N and still has something to learn in the A. Otherwise, assuming he won't beat all the young Ws for an LW spot (he can play that, but it's a long shot given competition), he'll be centering the top line in San Antonio. Next year's Yotes will be Wolski, Hanzal, Turris at C, winged by Whitney, Doan, Upshall, Vrbata, Prucha, and 1 of MacLean, Tikhonov, Boedker, or Pyatt, and a 4th line with 2 of Tikhonov, Boedker, Pyatt and Korpikoski centered by Fiddler. However, Ebbett does have to clear waivers, so if he doesn't make the Yotes he could be picked up by another team in need of temporary or permanent solution at C. - fzusher Sat, 03 Jul 2010 09:44:43 +0100
