He would be extremely cheap as well. But I was thinking about it and there are some other effective options out there. One would be trading for or acquiring Dwayne Roloson. I know he's already signed w/ the Islanders, but Roloson is soo perfect. He's seen it all, has experience being a workhorse, is mentally sound and has the attitude that Price needs in a goalie partner. Doubt $3 million is in their budget for a backup though. Of all the UFA goalies available, I think Johan Hedberg and Martin Biron are the best choices. I really like Hedberg because he's been in tough playoff situations and can provide a spark coming off the bench for the team. In a comment to Angus' trade breakdown I suggested Manny Legace - a veteran whose seen and done it all, from a Stanley Cup ring to a camp invite and AHL contract, has tough winning mentality, but is no longer good enough to be more than a backup and knows and accepts it.
