Jones isn't eligible until 2013 thanks to a late '93 birthday. Also, he's committed to the USNTDP for next year:http://www.letsgokings.com/bbs/f34/seth_jones_join_us_national_development-167158.html. I could see him taking a route similar to Patrick Kane by using the NTDP until his draft year and then jumping ship to the CHL to boost his stock.

The 2011 draft has a weak look to it but quite a few players not mentioned in the article have already posted solid seasons in respected leagues: Tomas Jurco (QMJHL), Gabriel Landeskog (OHL), Boone Jenner (OHL), Michael St. Croix (WHL), Matthew Nieto (US-U18), Rocco Grimaldi (US-U17), Ryan Murphy (OHL), Nathan Beaulieu (QMJHL), Adam Clendening (US-U18), Markus Granlund (FIN-U20), Cason Hohmann (USHL), Nick Shore (US-U18), Austin Czarnik (US-U18), Lucas Lessio (OJHL). - studley49

Weak Draft

I love the fact that people call the 2011 draft class "weak"! There is obviously tons of talent in it but because THN did an article last year about how weak the draft would be everyone assumes that it would be - forgetting that most of those players were only 15 at the time! By this time next year the hype around the 2011 class will be huge. - Dave
Larsson is perhaps the best pro prospect to emerge on defense in twenty years- with him, there's no talk of potential, of improving this or that area. He's simply ready for the NHL, and may have been last year.
So what you're saying is that he's better than Doughty? Well, I can't wait to see him in the NHL then ;).

Oh, and I thought it was supposed to be a weak draft? Or is it still considered weak, but with a few top-end prospects nonetheless? - Lukasz
