Since this was my first time seeing him play I was very impressed with his fluidity between the pipes. His ability to move quickly and accurately (without pain, :) ) was very exciting to see. Mason's demeanor was terrible after every goal against. As soon as one beat him, you could tell he knew he was in for a rough night. Since Hitchcock was fired, Mason has been more positive, upbeat and confident in many different areas of his game. You hit a lot of good points summed up best by "What I noticed about Mason’s struggles under Hitchcock is that he simply stopped competing after a while". I follow the Jacekts closely and if you read between the lines, it sounds like a lot of the younger players quit on Hitch for various reasons. I have only heard things about his performances in Chicago, but I guess they were good. If I had to choose one right now I would still go with Lehtonen. DiPietro hasn't won in his last five outings, although he hasn't been terrible either. My hunch is Lehts.
