HAH!! Nice find. Didn't notice that at all. Intensive purposes makes sense, like intensive care, but obviously not the same as intents and purposes. My b!

Also check the thread http://www.dobberhockey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61525 as I have added a lot more thoughts as well as clarifying what I meant by "awestruck and hesitant" as that is not the same as lacking confidence. - Justin Goldman

Ok.. is it "intensive" purposes, or "intents and purposes" ... I never figured that one out and always assumed it was "intensive" - Jason

Great addition Dan!!

I am not surprised to hear Toskala was not coachable. It was obvious in his attitude and demeanor on the ice and bench. He had a real look of indifference on his face. Like he could care less if pucks got past him. Chris Osgood has had a similar demeanor in his past few starts. Veterans struggling with their game will often turn up this side of the human psyche when younger rookies are taking over their crease and minutes. It's sheer frustration.

Giguere + Gustavsson = better Jiggy and better Monster. I actually harvest a little hope for Giguere's game. He has been reborn.

And just like I discuss a positive impact Giguere will have on Gustavsson, there's a very real chance that Gustavsson could teach Jiggy a thing or two on how to be more of a read and react goalie!!!!!!!! - Justin Goldman

Apparently Giguere was on the ice well after the rest of the team had left practice and was already going over things with Allaire and Gustavsson.

I think it's a low risk move on the Leafs part with the potential have a huge impact on Gustavssons future play.

Allaire was quoted in the Toronto Sun today that Toskala didn't like to be coached and didn't get along with the previouse goalie coach. It must be hard to teach a young kid when the veteran deosn't buy into the system. With Giguere there's complete buy in to Allaires system. - Dan
