The Sabres

I hear ya, I am by no means a Sabres fan. I like the Pens and Caps for obvious reasons and Crosby won't let them have an excuse of being tired from their workload in the previous 2 years. I guess when I looked at it Miller is arguably the Vezina Trophy frontruner right now. The Pens can go either way I believe this year. The Caps flat out REFUSE to play the style necessary to win in the playoffs for 4 rounds. As a fan I would LOVE to see the Caps represent the East - I try to watch them as often as possible - but I don't see their defensive game sustaining as 7 game series against a deep team. They will get through the 1st round, but when the cream rises to the top - defense wins championships. Personally - I can't wait.

Thanks for the plug of the site - I just go it up a couple of weeks ago and most of the things I know are attributed to what you and the contributors to this site have done to date. So a big thank-you to Dobber and the rest of you for the work you do.

Cheers. - Monkey Mark

Hey Monkey Man!! Nice looking website you've got there. Great minds think alike I guess. I was going to call Ryan Miller an All-Star, but I couldn't remember if he's ever played in an All-Star game, but I know he's an Olympian, hence All-World!

I don't know if the Sabres have enough depth to go up against Washington or even Pittsburgh come the playoffs. Outside of those two teams, I see the East as wide open from 3rd to 13th. - Russ

Hey Russ, that sounds a lot like what I wrote on my site just yesterday regarding the Sabres here: http://www.the99thmonkey.ca/

The East is available to be won this year and I believe the Sabres have as good a shot as any... - Monkey Mark
