4 out of 9 right is not bad for an Al strachan Toronto Sun wannabe. New Jersey totally dominated the Atlanta game. They did everything but put the puck in the back of the net, scoring chances at one time were like 9-0 for jersey, but I guess you dont get that info from reading the boxscores. - Top Notcher

Hmmm. I only went 4-5 which is disappointing, but my analysis of the games was spot on every time. I just picked the wrong winners. Hope you guys did well and made some spending money. - Steve Johnson
Katharsis - that's the trouble with starting goalie sites. First Miller and now Danis have taken off the dailyfaceoff.com site I use. Maybe I should pay the $10 for goaliepost.com. Either way, I still like Carolina as they are rested, the Devils aren't. Add that to Ward's stellar numbers as mention by both of us and Carolina still wins.
Yeah, it's going to be especially difficult for you two to predict starting goalies in advance to have the article posted in time, even moreso with all the platooning going on thus far, not to mention the Olympics forcing starters to rest more often than usual.

Personally I just look at the team blogs to find the starters rather than pay for goaliepost, although for $10 it wouldn't be a horrible investment. - Katharsis

Loco Man - Dallas at Chicago
Auld versus Huet. I actually give that advantage to Auld. That is the only thing I see going the Stars way. Auld will have to steal this game for Dallas to come away with any points. No team in the league has as much confidence right now as Chicago does. Young kids with swagger and confidence can be trouble for any team. If Huet doesn't lose the game for Chicago, I see the Blackhawks winning their 5th in a row against the Stars as they swept the 4 game series last season.

Huet or Nabokov??? That's a tough one as I am really going out on a limb by saying the Islanders will beat the Sharks. Both goalies have been horrible. I am going to leave that one up to you. - Steve Johnson

Just a heads up: Brodeur will be starting against CAR tonight, not Danis. Check the Fire&Ice blog.

That said, Ward always plays his absolute best against his idol Brodeur, and given NJs early struggles, I still like your pick of Carolina by at least 1. - Katharsis

What about this game?

I am debating between starting Nabokov or Huet tonight. Not loving Nabby after this read, but what do you think about Chicago home to Dallas?

Justin, that is a nice ticket. Good luck.

Rkrdstyl, anything can happen. But taking into consideration that the NYR score the most goals per game right now and the Leafs allow the most, I will stick with the Rangers. Anything can happen after a team has one of those team bonding sessions like the Leafs had. I wish I kept track of that sort of thing. I do keep track of some weird stats, but that is not one of them. Also, Lundqvist versus Joey MacDonald, I will take the King. Anything can happen, and yes, the Leafs can win this game, but I will stick with the Rangers +. - Steve Johnson

you don't see that as a trap game? (while i love the NYR, i'm worried the pathetic leafs team might actually keep up their pace that they outplayed the rangers at during the 2nd period of their last matchup?)

curious on your thoughts, thanks :) - rkrdstyL

my proline tonight will be WSH H+, NYR V+, and SJ V... I like the risky pick with NYI... but I gotta stick with the odds. If your right tho, next week I'll take your 3 most confident picks. - justin
